Comfrey is amazing herb ,the latin name means "stitch together" because comfrey is known historically as a bone healer! Throughout the ages it's been turned into a poultice with the leaves to heal broken bones!! Its one of the essential homeopathic herbs. I have a few huge Russian Comfrey perennial plants here at the funny farm, and lots of the herb plantain, and I use no chemicals any of the plants. Plantain is another homeopathic pain relieving herb. I dry the comfrey and plantain, then infuse them into olive & coconut oil , then use the infused oil with magnesium, essential oils that are also effective for pain ( chamomile, frankincense, rosemary, lavender, peppermint & lemongrass) Bees wax to thicken it into a salve, and it becomes an effective homeopathic pain reliever for joints, muscles, bones, and general aches & pains of arthritis. I've been making and using this for years ( because I have arthritis in almost every joint in my body) then I started selling this at our local farmers market in Buffalo Mn. Once my customers have tried this, they keep coming back for more because they say they too are getting relief . Just apply a small amount to sore joints, sore muscles, rub it in. That's it. I use it in the morning and again at bedtime. a little goes along way and it smells fantastic!!! It has a soft herbal scent of chamomile, lemongrass & lavender.
